the_incredible_hulk_movie_p.jpgThis Friday, June 13 Marvel Studios has there work cut out for them in releasing their second production (their first being the widely successful IRON MAN movie) of a new INCREDIBLE HULK movie. The first HULK movie in 2003 by director Ang Lee was considered a diappointment by many and the marketers of the new movie have a tough job making movie goers forget the first film or at least to give the new one a chance. Most recent trailers show an improvement in CGI effects and that the film has at least some sense of humor in certain scenes. Artist Mike McKone joins writer Bob Gale for “Who Is the Other Spider-Man?” in Amazing Spider-Man #562. The Skrulls are taking over England in Captain Britain and MI 13 #2. Alan Davis’ family of super-powered immortals comes to an end (for now) in ClanDestine #5 (of 5). Thundra returns to Marvel Comics for a knockdown, drag-out fight in Hulk Raging Thunder. Jack Kirby’s creations now have their own ongoing series in The Eternals #1. Action Comics #866 finds the return of artist Gary Frank and the villain Brainiac. DC’s young adults MINX line returns for the first time in months with the all-new Burnout graphic novel. DC/Wildstorm adapts the hit NBC show to comics with Chuck #1 (of 5). Invincible #50 finally ships. Writer Joe Casey joins with artist Andy Suriano for Charlatan Ball #1 (of 5) from Image. BPRD War on Frogs by artist Herb Trimpe is the first in a series of four BPRD one-shots. Angel After the Fall ships bi-weekly in June. Issue #8, shipping this week, concludes the stories of Angel’s friends and family during their first night in hell.
