Highlights this week include: Marvel attempts to see if the Marvel Zombies’ lightning can strike twice with Marvel Apes #1 (of 4); Prince Namor gets his own mini-series again with Sub-Mariner: Depths #1 (of 5); the very late-running Titans #4; El Diablo #1 (of 6) by the creative team of Jai Nitz, Phil Hester and Ande Parks;Fringe, a new 6-issue mini-series based on the new FOX TV show (debuting September 9) produced by J.J. Abrams; another TV creator gets into comics with Challenger Deep #1 (of 4) by  Andrew Cosby of Sci-Fi Channel’s Eureka; the Secret Six are back in the first issue of an all-new ongoing series written again by Gail Simone; two more Batman: RIP crossovers: Detective Comics #848 and Nightwing#148; the Savage Dragon endorses Senator Obama for the Presidency in Savage Dragon #137; the third part of the Time of Your Life storyline featuring Fray in Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 #18 and Angel: After the Fall #12, and the Battlestar Galactica Series 2 Action Figures and the TMP NFL Brett Favre Collectors Edition Action Figure are the only big toy releases for this week.
