Warner Home Video has finally decided to release the short lived Birds of Prey TV series on DVD on Tuesday, July 15 to take advantage of the new Dark Knight movie opening just three days later in theatres on Friday, July 18.

From the creators of the CW hit Smallville, Birds of the Prey was produced in 2002 for the now defunct WB, but had only 13 episodes before cancellation.

• This boxed set will collect all 13 episodes and the complete Flash-animated series Gotham Girls previously only seen on the Warner Brothers website.
• The Birds of Prey DVD set will also include the unaired pilot, which featured Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks) in the role of Dr. Harleen Quinzel.
• Also of note, the aspect ratio of the episodes in the set will be full frame, but will be “letter-boxed” to simulate widescreen.
• The DVD set will retail for $39.98. Any customer who preorders the set by Sunday, June 1 along with a $10 deposit will receive a 10% discount off the retail price!
