Marvel’s Super Hero Squad Show, based on the popular line of toys from Hasbro, and why yes we have some in stock!, debuts this week on Cartoon Network!
The new show is clearly aimed at youngsters, but like The Brave and the Bold, it will also attract the more savy comic book fan and longtime fans of animation. The voice cast includes Tricia Helfer as Black Cat, Mark Hamill as the Red Skull, James Marsters as Mr. Fantastic, Levar Burton as Rhodey, and Stan “The Man” Lee as the mayor of Super Hero City! It features short, adorable versions of Marvel heroes, like Wolverine, Iron Man, and the Hulk, protecting Super Hero City from pint-sized Dr. Dooms, Fing Fang Fooms, and even M.O.D.O.K.
Fun bit of info: The title cards at the beginning of each episode will be homages to classic Marvel Comic Book covers
Cartoon Network’s schedule isn’t firm yet, but 2 episodes are scheduled to air throughout the week beginning Monday, September 14, from 6 – 7pm Central. For more info check the Cartoon Network Schedule.
