MORE BOYS MORE BATTLEFIELDS MORE GARTH ENNIS

the_boys_-1.jpgBritish writer Garth Ennis has been writing regular comics for the past 20 years both here and the UK with usually a strong mature readers flavor. After finishing Preacher for DCs Vertigo line Ennis’ current ongoing series The Boys first started out at DCs Wildstorm imprint and then relocated to its current publisher Dynamite Entertainment.

The Boys, dealing with the seedier side of superheroes, is not for everybody, but if you liked Preacher or have a taste for harder edged material, The Boys and its current mini-series spinoff Herogasm might be something to check out. Originally announced as having a projected  60-issue run, Ennis revealed in a recent interview with the Newarama website that The Boys is now planned to run 70 issues with 2 more mini-series in the works. The interview also mentions Ennis’ plans next year for more World War II comics including his successful Battlefields mini-series also for Dynamite Entertainment.
