Most of the world knows by now that Disney and Marvel recently made one of the biggest mergers in history. Disney buying Marvel for 4 billion dollars and now having rights to do anything they want with pretty much half of the comic universe. Now it seems that Warner Brothers is countering by opening DC Entertainment, even though Warner has been owners of the thriving DC Universe for ages now. The new branch will be led by Diane Nelson, the person currently overseeing the Harry Potter movie franchise, and not Paul Levitz (also no longer President of DC Comics). Instead Levitz will be back to a writer/editor job and DC is actively looking for a new President. Warner Brothers stated that the new branch will bring feature films, television, interactive entertainment, direct-to-consumer platforms and consumer products, pretty much everything DC is doing already. The creation of the new branch hopefully means that Warner will now be pushing more feature films out the door other than Batman and Superman.
